Dating back to 1853 one of Whanganui's oldest buildings
1.5 storey cottage built for Jhon Thomas Tylee, Tylee's Flat Wilson Street (later being called Cook's Garden).
1981 moved to St Georges Gate.
1982 moved to present site.
1986 reopened as Whanganui-Artist-in Resident home.
