In this hands-on textile art class, tamariki will explore the fun and satisfying process of block printing onto calico, creating their own unique printed designs. Once printed, they’ll have the opportunity to personalise their work with colourful embellishments, using simple embroidery stitches, beads and other decorative details.
No previous experience is needed — just bring your imagination and a willingness to experiment. Held in the gallery’s classroom, this relaxed and creative workshop is a chance to make, learn new skills and take home a handmade piece to treasure.
