Presentation on gold leaf gilding with Carolina Izzo of Studio Izzo.
In this illustrated session, art conservator Carolina Izzo will demonstrate and discuss gold leaf gilding. She will show tools and different gold leaf, and discuss the history of gold leaf, its current use and the training.
It is the intention that Carolina will return to the gallery in 2026, for a specialised 3-day gold leaf gilding workshop for practicing artists. People who attend this presentation will be eligible for a 10% discount for the 3-day workshop in 2026.
